Overview
The Global B2B Marketing Technology team is looking for a Senior Salesforce Marketing Cloud Consultant/ Specialist to help scale the lead generation function at Mastercard through technology and operational excellence which drives email creation, complex journey building, lead routing, lead scoring and other technology processes withing the MarOps domain.
The Global B2B Marketing Technology team is responsible for defining a best-in-class use cases for the Lead Generation discipline and scaling it across business units and regions, including to the people, processes, content, technologies, and data.
Role
We are looking for an experienced Salesforce Marketing Cloud Specialist who can lead and strategize end-to-end SFMC implementations, provide guidance to lead gen teams, stakeholders, and deliver scalable solutions that drive marketing success. The ideal candidate will combine technical expertise, consulting experience, and marketing knowledge to design and execute high-impact campaigns across multiple channels.
Key Responsibilities
1. End-to-End Delivery
• Lead SFMC implementation projects from discovery through go live.
• Deliver solutioning for Lead Gen Projects and set up initial usecases end-to-end.
2. Architectural Decisions
• Design customer journeys, data integration strategies, and domain/IP warm-up strategies.
• Translate business requirements into scalable SFMC solutions.
3. Complex Journeys
• Design and implement complex, multi-channel customer journeys leveraging Journey Builder, Automation Studio, and advanced exit criteria.
• Optimize campaigns for personalization and scalability.
4. Project Operations
• Own timelines, scope, tracking, and stakeholder sign-offs during project phases.
• Act as a bridge between technical teams and client stakeholders.
5. Technical Depth
• Provide solutioning expertise with SQL, AMPscript, and working knowledge of SSJS, HTML/CSS, and basic JavaScript.
• Review and guide development efforts to align with best practices.
6. Marketing Strategy & Knowledge
• Consult clients on audience segmentation, KPIs, campaign optimization, and marketing strategy execution.
• Identify opportunities to enhance customer engagement through SFMC.
7. Required Skills & Experience
• Proven experience as an SFMC Email Specialist/ Consultant with multiple end-to-end implementations.
• Strong consulting and client-facing communication skills.
• Deep understanding of SFMC ecosystem, marketing automation, and integration best practices.
• Ability to balance hands-on technical depth with strategic consulting.
8. Preferred Skills
• Salesforce Marketing Cloud certification(s).
• Experience with enterprise-level clients and global campaigns.
• Exposure to analytics and campaign performance reporting.
All About You
The ideal candidate for this position should have:
• Bachelor's or master's degree (MBA preferred) in marketing, business or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in marketing operations/automation with 2+ years of hands-on experience in Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC), including Email Studio, Journey Builder, Automation Studio, and Intelligence Reports
• Working knowledge of Adobe Experience Manager (AEM), Salesforce Sales Cloud, Cvent and Zoom/ON24, good to have skillset
• Experience designing ABM campaigns in 6sense/ Demandbase, good to have skillset
• Strong technical skills in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, AMPscript, and SQL, must have skillset
• Analytical mindset with the ability to derive insights and make recommendations.
• Self-driven, curious, and adaptable to fast-paced environments.
• Willingness to work EMEA hours (12:00 PM – 9:00 PM IST)
