Job Title: Fabrication Quality Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Fabrication Quality Engineer to ensure that all fabricated products meet quality standards and customer specifications. The ideal candidate will be responsible for implementing and maintaining quality assurance protocols in the fabrication process, conducting inspections, and driving continuous improvement initiatives across production.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Quality Assurance & Control
  • Develop, implement, and maintain QA/QC procedures for fabricated components.
  • Inspect incoming raw materials, in-process fabrication work, and finished products for compliance with design and quality standards.
  • Perform root cause analysis for defects or non-conformances and implement corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Documentation & Reporting
  • Prepare and maintain quality documentation including inspection reports, test results, and non-conformance reports.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, and customer specifications.
  • Process Improvement
  • Monitor fabrication processes to identify areas for improvement.
  • Work closely with production, design, and welding teams to enhance process efficiency and product quality.
  • Implement Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies as appropriate.
  • Training & Support
  • Train fabrication staff on quality procedures, inspection techniques, and standards.
  • Act as a liaison between quality assurance and other departments.
  • Audit & Compliance
  • Conduct internal and supplier audits to ensure adherence to quality systems.
  • Support third-party inspections and certifications.

Qualifications:

  • Diploma/Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.
  • 1–3 years of experience in a quality engineering role within a fabrication or manufacturing environment.
  • Certification in quality management (e.g. ISO 9001 auditor) is a plus.

Key Skills:

  • In-depth understanding of fabrication processes (cutting, welding, bending, machining, etc.)
  • Proficient in using quality tools .
  • Knowledge of welding standards .
  • Familiarity with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and quality management.

Work Environment:

  • Primarily works in a fabrication shop or production floor environment with occasional office work.
  • Must adhere to safety protocols and wear required personal protective equipment

Preferred:

  • Experience with automated or robotic fabrication/welding systems.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹13, ₹31,076.31 per month
