It Network Support Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking a proactive and skilled IT Network and Support Engineer to manage and maintain our on-premises IT infrastructure and provide top-notch technical support to our employees. This is a critical role responsible for the upkeep of all IT systems, including laptops, desktops, servers, and network connectivity. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with on-premises IT equipment and a foundational understanding of cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP.

This position is a full-time, work-from-office role based in our Kalyani Nagar, Pune location.

Key Responsibilities:

•IT Infrastructure Management: Handle the day-to-day operations of all IT hardware, including installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and asset management for laptops, desktops, and printers.

•Network Management: Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot network devices such as routers, switches, firewalls, and Wi-Fi access points to ensure optimal performance and security.

•User Support: Provide timely and effective technical support to employees, addressing hardware, software, and network issues through a ticketing system, in-person assistance, and remote support.

•System Administration: Perform routine administration tasks, including user account management, permissions, and security controls on Windows and/or Linux servers.

•Cloud Infrastructure: Assist with the deployment, maintenance, and monitoring of cloud-based resources (virtual machines, storage, networking components, etc.) on platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP.

•Security: Implement and maintain network and endpoint security measures, including antivirus software, firewalls, and access controls.

•Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for network configurations, IT procedures, and troubleshooting guides.

•Collaboration: Work with other IT team members on projects and escalate complex issues to senior engineers or relevant external teams as needed.

•Shift Timings: Flexible to work in shifts as per company requirements: 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM, or 12:00 PM to 9:00 PM.

Qualifications and Experience

•Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

•Experience: Proven experience (2-4 years preferred) in an IT support or network administration role.

•Hardware and Software: Strong hands-on experience with desktop and server hardware, operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux), and common business software.

•Networking: In-depth knowledge of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VLANs. Experience with network monitoring tools is a plus.

•Cloud Computing: Foundational knowledge and preferred hands-on experience with one or more major cloud platforms.

Preferred Experience and Certifications

•Cloud Certifications: AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals, or Google Associate Cloud Engineer.

•Networking Certifications: Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or CompTIA Network+.

•IT Support Certifications: CompTIA A+ or ITIL Foundation.

•Scripting: Familiarity with scripting languages like Python or PowerShell for automation.
