Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to manage and oversee all financial transactions related to inventory — from raw materials to work-in-progress (WIP) to finished goods — in our garment manufacturing company. The ideal candidate will also maintain complete and accurate ledger accounts for vendors and buyers, prepare MIS reports, and support management with timely financial insights. Strong communication skills and proficiency in both Hindi and English are essential for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inventory Accounting:
  • Track and record all inventory transactions, including raw materials, WIP, and finished goods.
  • Coordinate with production and warehouse teams to reconcile physical and book stock.
  • Ensure proper valuation and costing of inventory as per accounting standards.
  • Ledger Maintenance:
  • Maintain accurate ledger accounts for all vendors, buyers, and service providers.
  • Process invoices, payments, and receipts in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Conduct regular reconciliations of vendor and customer accounts.
  • MIS & Reporting:
  • Prepare and present Monthly MIS reports including inventory status, receivables, payables, and profitability.
  • Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Provide financial insights to management for decision-making.
  • Compliance & Audit:
  • Ensure compliance with all statutory requirements related to accounting and taxation.
  • Assist in internal and external audits, providing required documentation and explanations.
  • Communication & Coordination:
  • Liaise with suppliers, customers, and internal teams (production, sales, procurement) for financial coordination.
  • Communicate effectively in both Hindi and English, verbally and in writing.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Commerce, or a related field (B.Com, M.Com, or equivalent).
  • Minimum 3+ years of relevant experience in accounting, preferably in a manufacturing or garment industry.
  • Strong knowledge of inventory accounting, ledger management, and MIS reporting.
  • Proficient in accounting software such as Tally, ERP systems, or similar platforms.
  • Excellent communication skills in Hindi and English.
  • Attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines.

Preferred Skills:

  • Prior experience in a garment/textile manufacturing environment.
  • Working knowledge of GST, TDS, and other relevant tax regulations.
  • Proficiency in Excel and financial reporting tools.
