Business Development Manager (Education Industry)Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Business Development Manager (BDM) to drive growth in the education sector. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying business opportunities, building strong relationships with institutions, corporates, and stakeholders, and implementing strategies to achieve enrollment and revenue targets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify, develop, and manage new business opportunities in the education/training sector (schools, colleges, universities, edtech platforms, corporates, etc.).
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to meet organizational objectives and revenue targets.
  • Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify trends and opportunities.
  • Generate leads through networking, events, partnerships, and digital channels.
  • Deliver engaging presentations and proposals to prospective clients and partners.
  • Collaborate with academic and marketing teams to align business goals with product offerings.
  • Monitor and report sales performance, pipeline status, and forecasts to management.
  • Ensure high levels of client satisfaction and long-term partnerships.
  • Represent the organization at educational fairs, conferences, and exhibitions.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 4–8 years of experience in business development, preferably in the education or edtech industry.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales/revenue targets.
  • Strong understanding of the education ecosystem, including schools, universities, training providers, and edtech companies.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong professional networks.
  • Self-motivated, target-driven, and able to work independently.
  • Willingness to travel as required.
