Job Summary
SKN Engineering Works, a prominent manufacturer of high-quality Solar Panel Structures and Street Light Poles, is seeking an experienced and results-driven Sales and Marketing Manager (B2B). The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving sales growth across the B2B segment, with a strong focus on securing government tenders, large-scale industrial projects, and developing key channel partnerships within the solar and infrastructure sectors.
This role requires a blend of technical understanding of solar mounting solutions and lighting poles, exceptional B2B sales acumen, and deep expertise in navigating the public sector tendering and procurement processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Business Development and B2B Sales:
• Identify, prospect, and secure new B2B clients, including EPC companies, solar developers, system integrators, large industries, and relevant channel partners for solar structures and street light poles.
• Develop and implement strategic sales plans to expand market share in the solar and infrastructure segments.
• Manage the entire sales cycle from lead generation, cold calling, client meetings, technical presentations, negotiation, to deal closure.
• Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets and revenue goals.
- Government Tender Management (Core Responsibility):
• Proactively monitor government tender portals (e.g., GeM, e-Procurement platforms) for relevant opportunities related to solar structures, street light poles, and associated infrastructure projects (Central, State, and Municipal bodies).
• Lead the end-to-end tendering process, including thorough analysis of tender documents (RFP/RFQ/NIT), ensuring compliance with all technical and commercial specifications.
• Prepare and submit compelling, accurate, and timely technical and commercial bids, proposals, and required documentation.
• Act as the primary liaison with government officials and procurement agencies regarding tender clarifications and negotiations.
- Marketing and Relationship Management:
• Establish and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key stakeholders, consultants, architects, and decision-makers in target client organizations.
• Develop and execute B2B marketing strategies and campaigns (digital, direct, event-based) to enhance brand visibility and generate qualified leads for both product lines.
• Gather market intelligence on industry trends, competitor activities, pricing strategies, and government policies to inform business decisions.
- Technical and Commercial Expertise:
• Effectively communicate the technical specifications, quality standards, and unique selling propositions of SKN Engineering Works' solar mounting structures (Ground Mount, Rooftop, etc.) and street light poles (Octagonal, Conical, Swaged, etc.).
• Conduct financial analysis (e.g., ROI calculations) to present strong business cases to potential clients.
• Collaborate closely with the production and technical teams to ensure product customization requirements are met and projects are delivered successfully.
Required Qualifications and Experience
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical/Mechanical/Civil preferred) or a relevant field like Business Administration/Marketing.
• Experience:
• Minimum of 5+ years of proven B2B Sales and Marketing experience, with a substantial portion in the Solar Industry or related infrastructure/electrical/steel fabrication sector.
• Mandatory and demonstrable expertise in Government Tender Management (procurement, bidding, and compliance) in India.
• Direct experience selling Solar Panel, panel Structures and/or Street Light Poles is highly preferred.
• Proven track record of consistently achieving and exceeding ambitious sales targets.
Other Specifications
• Industry Knowledge: In-depth understanding of the solar market ecosystem, industry regulations, PV system components, and manufacturing processes for steel/metal structures.
• Tender Proficiency: Expertise in reading, interpreting, and responding to complex RFPs, including technical compliance and financial structuring of bids.
• Negotiation Skills: Excellent ability to negotiate large B2B and government contracts.
• Communication: Exceptional verbal, written, and presentation skills (in English and Hindi).
• Software Proficiency: Proficient in using CRM software, MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and familiarity with online government e-procurement platforms.
• Work Style: Highly self-motivated, target-driven, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
• Travel: Willingness to undertake frequent travel within the region and across India for client meetings, tender submissions, and site visits as required.
• Local Candidate Preference: Candidates residing in or near Ghaziabad/Delhi NCR will be given preference.
