Overview
The HR Business Partner (HRBP) - Night Shift at Oncospark will be a critical partner to our US-facing operations, ensuring HR strategy and services are seamlessly delivered during non-traditional hours. This role involves managing the full employee lifecycle for designated business units, providing strategic consultation to leaders, and driving HR programs that support a high-performance culture, specifically catering to the needs and challenges of a night-shift environment.

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic Partnership & Consulting

• Act as a trusted HR advisor to line managers and employees within the assigned business units during the night shift.

• Support organizational design and workforce planning initiatives to ensure the business unit has the right talent structure.

• Translate business needs into concrete HR strategies and execute them effectively.

2. Talent Management & Development

• Drive performance management cycles (e.g., goal setting, mid-year reviews, year end appraisals) for the night shift teams.

• Identify training needs for business units and individual coaching needs for managers, coordinating with the L&D team.

• Lead talent reviews and succession planning discussions for key night-shift roles.

3. Employee Relations & Engagement

• Proactively manage and resolve complex employee relations issues, including disciplinary actions, grievances, and investigations, ensuring compliance with labor laws and company policies.

• Conduct exit interviews and analyze night-shift specific retention data to recommend and implement corrective actions.

• Drive engagement activities and initiatives tailored to the night-shift employee population to foster a positive and inclusive work environment.

4. HR Operations & Compliance

• Oversee day-to-day HR operations during the night shift, including handling employee queries related to benefits, payroll, and policy interpretation.

• Ensure 100% compliance with all relevant statutory requirements and internal HR policies, specifically those pertaining to night work, safety, and gender equality in the workplace.

• Manage the full employee lifecycle processes, including onboarding, transfers, and offboarding for night shift employees.

Required Qualifications & Skills Education
:

Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field. An MBA/PGDM in HR is highly preferred.

Experience: 5+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 2 years as an HRBP. Prior experience managing a night shift/US-aligned shift is mandatory.

Domain Knowledge: Strong understanding of employee relations, performance management, engagement practices, and Indian labor law.

Location: Must be willing to work from the Chennai office during the specified night shift hours. Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to interact effectively with US-based stakeholders.

Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and experience with HRIS systems.

Desired Attributes: High level of emotional intelligence and strong conflict resolution skills. A proactive and independent mindset, capable of working with minimal direct supervision during night hours. Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion. Experience in the Healthcare/Healthcare Technology or BPO/KPO industry is a plus.
