Production Planning & Execution - Develop and implement daily, weekly, and monthly production plans to meet design and sales requirements.  Monitor production output against planned schedules and take corrective actions as needed.  Coordinate with design and CAD teams to understand product feasibility and complexity.

Quality Control & Assurance - Ensure strict quality control procedures at each stage: casting, filing, seƫng, polishing, rhodium, etc.  Minimize rework and rejection rates through proactive inspection and process control.  Train production staff on quality standards for diamond setting, finish, symmetry, and weight tolerances.

Process Optimization & Cost Control - Identify bottlenecks and areas of wastage; implement lean manufacturing principles.  Control labour, material, and overhead costs without compromising on quality.  Maintain high standards of productivity and optimize resource utilization (man, machine, material).

Team Management & Development - Supervise and manage all production floor teams including karigars, QC inspectors, and supervisors.  Evaluate team performance and provide skill development training as needed.  Maintain discipline, safety, and a positive working environment in the production unit

Vendor & Material Coordination - Coordinate with procurement for timely availability of raw materials (gold, diamonds, findings, etc.).  Approve vendor quality and capacity for outsourced processes (like casting, hallmarking, etc.).  Manage inventory control of consumables and ensure no material loss or theft.

Compliance & Reporting - Ensure adherence to company SOPs, safety protocols, and statutory compliances (BIS, Hallmark, etc.).  Maintain MIS reports on production efficiency, QC status, yield, loss, and delivery timelines.  Regularly report progress, delays, and issues to senior management.

Innovation & Technology Adoption - Stay updated with latest manufacturing technologies (e.g., micro-seƫng, laser cuƫng, 3D printing).  Propose and implement improvements to reduce turnaround time and enhance product finishing.  Drive digitization of production tracking and workflow wherever feasible
