Position Overview:

The Factory Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a manufacturing facility, ensuring that production goals are met efficiently, on time, and within budget. This role involves managing a team, optimizing production processes, ensuring safety standards, maintaining equipment, and working closely with other departments to improve overall productivity and quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Production Management:
  • Oversee the daily operations of the manufacturing facility, ensuring production targets and schedules are met.
  • Plan and coordinate production workflows to optimize efficiency and minimize downtime.
  • Monitor production output and adjust processes to maintain high-quality standards and timely deliveries.
  • Team Leadership:
  • Supervise, motivate, and lead the production team, ensuring a productive and positive working environment.
  • Schedule, assign tasks, and monitor team performance to ensure high levels of productivity.
  • Provide training and development opportunities to team members to improve skills and competencies.
  • Process Improvement:
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve product quality.
  • Implement lean manufacturing principles, continuous improvement initiatives, and best practices to drive operational excellence.
  • Quality Control:
  • Ensure adherence to quality standards by monitoring production processes and implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Work closely with quality control teams to resolve any product issues and maintain consistent product quality.
  • Health and Safety:
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations in the factory.
  • Conduct regular safety audits, risk assessments, and safety training to minimize workplace accidents and hazards.
  • Inventory Management:
  • Oversee raw material inventory levels, ensuring adequate stock to meet production needs while minimizing waste.
  • Coordinate with supply chain teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and manage storage effectively.
  • Equipment Maintenance:
  • Ensure that all machinery and equipment are in good working condition, scheduling regular maintenance and repairs.
  • Work with the maintenance team to address any equipment failures or malfunctions swiftly to minimize downtime.
  • Budget and Cost Control:
  • Manage the factory's operational budget, ensuring costs are controlled and resources are used effectively.
  • Review cost reports and work with the finance department to identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Reporting and Documentation:
  • Provide regular updates and reports to senior management on production progress, challenges, and opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate records related to production, inventory, safety, and personnel.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Proven experience in a factory management or production management role (5+ years preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, safety regulations, and quality standards.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with budgeting, cost control, and resource management.
  • Proficiency in manufacturing software (Unicommerce, etc.) is a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹50, ₹75,000.00 per month
