Control Tower - Senior Manager
Description
A Control Tower Senior Manager in Fleet Management role focuses on overseeing and
optimizing a company's fleet operations. This involves monitoring vehicle movements, managing
schedules, ensuring safety and efficiency, and coordinating logistics. Key responsibilities include
tracking vehicle locations, managing maintenance and repairs, analyzing performance data, and
collaborating with various teams to improve overall fleet operations. The role often involves
using technology like GPS tracking and fleet management software.
Key Job Responsibilities
Responsible for Control tower operations, and process standardization for maximum
efficiency
Source and nurture ideas, and roll them into creating improvement plans in coordination
with Control Tower Process Improvement managers
Take proactive steps to ensure that best practices are shared across all departments,
shifts, and among the network.
Work closely with multiple stakeholders/peers ( Program Manager, Operations Manager,
MH/DH Manager) to build secure support and resources for projects and initiatives in
his/her area, as well as provide required support/resources for further people initiatives.
Manage a team of process specialists while being able to manage shifts where the
problem, opportunity, and strategy are defined.
Surface issues with the potential to affect business, along with ideas for solutions to
Senior leadership, Process improvement Managers, or HR.
Performance Analysis: Analyzing key performance indicators (KPIs) such as on-time
reporting , intransit & on time departure to identify areas for improvement.
Communication and Collaboration: Communicating with the Ground team of both MH/DH
& fleet and other stakeholders to ensure smooth operations and resolve issues.
Technology Integration:Utilizing and optimizing fleet management software and other
technologies to improve efficiency and decision-making.
Be an integral part of hiring and developing new members for the team.
Develop and improve people performance metrics to assist with driving business results.
Provide real-time customer experience by working in a 24*7 operating environment.
Own and prioritize work allocation based on business needs on a daily/weekly/monthly
frequency.
Basic Qualification
Bachelor's/Master degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field,
Previous experience in fleet management or transportation coordination is Plus.
Experience in 6-10 yrs in Control tower operations
Skills
Logistics and Operations:Strong understanding of logistics, transportation, and fleet
management principles.
Data Analysis:Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
Communication and Interpersonal Skills:Effective communication and collaboration skills
to work with various stakeholders.
Problem-Solving:Ability to identify and resolve issues related to vehicle maintenance,
logistics, or driver performance.
Technology Proficiency:Familiarity with fleet management software, GPS tracking
systems, and other relevant technologies.
Monitoring and Coordination:Tracking vehicle locations, managing schedules, and
coordinating movements to ensure timely and efficient delivery of goods or services.
Data Management: Maintaining accurate records of vehicle information,and other
relevant data
