- Guest room cleaning:
- Dusting and polishing furniture and fixtures.
- Vacuuming carpets and mopping floors.
- Cleaning and sanitizing bathrooms, including sinks, toilets, and showers.
- Making beds and changing linens and towels.
- Emptying trash and disposing of waste.
- Restocking guest room supplies like toiletries and amenities.
- Public area maintenance:
- Cleaning and maintaining common areas such as lobbies, hallways, and elevators.
- Keeping public restrooms clean and stocked.
- Supplies and inventory management:
- Stocking and organizing the housekeeping cart.
- Monitoring and reporting on the inventory of cleaning supplies.
- Ensuring linen closets are stocked and organized.
- Maintenance and safety:
- Checking rooms for technical issues, burned-out bulbs, or safety hazards.
- Reporting maintenance issues to the appropriate department or supervisor.
- Following all health and safety regulations.
- Guest interaction:
- Responding promptly to guest requests for supplies or special cleaning needs.
- Handling guest concerns with professionalism.
- Returning any lost and found items to the proper authority.
