Job Summary:
The Transport Executive is responsible for managing and coordinating the day-to-day transportation operations, ensuring timely delivery of goods/people, optimal vehicle utilization, compliance with legal requirements, and smooth coordination between drivers, suppliers, and clients.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, schedule, and oversee transportation operations to ensure timely delivery and pickups.
- Coordinate with drivers, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth logistics flow.
- Monitor and track vehicle movements using GPS systems and maintain trip records.
- Manage vehicle maintenance schedules, repairs, and servicing to ensure roadworthiness.
- Optimize routes to minimize costs and improve efficiency.
- Maintain all required documentation related to transportation, such as permits, fuel consumption, and expense records.
- Ensure compliance with transportation laws, safety regulations, and company policies.
- Handle transport-related queries, complaints, and issues promptly.
- Monitor driver performance, attendance, and conduct periodic training sessions.
- Work closely with the procurement, warehouse, and operations teams for seamless coordination.
Qualification:
- Bachelor's degree/diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
- 2–5 years of experience in transportation/logistics operations.
- Strong knowledge of fleet management, route planning, and transportation regulations.
- Proficiency in MS Office and GPS tracking software.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Good team management and coordination skills.
