Position Overview:
- The incumbent will be responsible for managing liaison activities with various government departments, ministries, and regulatory bodies at the central and state levels. The role demands a seasoned professional with strong connections in Mantralaya and key ministries, capable of facilitating approvals, clearances, and policy advocacy in alignment with business objectives.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with ministries, Mantralaya officials, government departments, and industry associations.
- Liaise with state and central government authorities for approvals, licenses, and policy-related matters.
- Track and interpret government policies, regulations, and notifications impacting the steel and manufacturing sector.
- Facilitate timely clearances for projects, environmental approvals, land, and statutory compliances.
- Represent the company in meetings with government officials, PSUs, and industry bodies such as CII, FICCI, ASSOCHAM, etc.
- Support senior management in policy advocacy and representation before government forums.
- Ensure smooth coordination between internal departments and external agencies for compliance and representation matters.
- Prepare briefs, notes, and reports on policy developments, government schemes, and regulatory changes relevant to the company's interests.
- Desired Candidate Profile:
- Graduate / Postgraduate in Political Science, Public Administration, Law, or Business Management.
- 20 +years of experience in Corporate Affairs / Liaisoning in large manufacturing or steel sector companies.
- Proven network and strong working relationships with key stakeholders in Mantralaya and relevant ministries (Steel, Commerce, Environment, Industry, Power, etc.).
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
- High integrity, discretion, and understanding of corporate governance.
