**Key Responsibilities**

  • Develop and maintain a book of business by sourcing new shipper and carrier accounts.

  • Negotiate competitive rates and secure profitable freight opportunities.

  • Coordinate and track shipments from pickup through delivery.

  • Communicate proactively with shippers, carriers, and internal teams.

  • Resolve shipment issues, delays, and claims efficiently.

  • Maintain accurate records of loads, rates, and documentation.

  • Monitor market trends and capacity to maximize profitability.

  • Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.

**Qualifications**

  • A minimum of 1 year of experience as a Freight Broker, Freight Agent, or Logistics Sales Representative (preferred).

  • Strong knowledge of freight brokerage operations and transportation markets.

  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.

  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.

  • Proficiency with Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and Microsoft Office (preferred).

  • High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor's degree is a plus).

**Preferred Skills**

  • Experience working with third-party logistics (3PLs) and carrier networks.

  • Cold calling and outbound sales experience.

  • Knowledge of dry van, reefer, and/or flatbed freight.

  • An existing book of business (a plus, but not required).
