Shift: 5:30 PM – 2:30 AM (Monday to Friday)

Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Freight Broker / Logistics Broker to oversee freight operations in Mohali, coordinate with shippers, carriers, and drivers, and ensure smooth transportation of goods. The role requires freight coordination, carrier network management, truck dispatch, customer service, negotiation, and problem-solving to maintain high operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

Freight Coordination:

Act as the main contact between shippers and carriers, coordinating the logistics of moving goods, freight operations, and truck dispatch from origin to destination to ensure timely delivery.

Carrier Network Management:

Develop and maintain a strong network of reliable carriers. Improve carrier management and supply chain efficiency by negotiating freight rates and making sure there is enough capacity to satisfy customer demands.

Customer Interaction:

Provide excellent logistics customer service by managing client expectations, answering inquiries, and resolving issues promptly to maintain long-term relationships.

Negotiation:

Negotiate freight rates, terms, and conditions with carriers and customers to ensure competitive pricing and effective freight sales solutions.

Problem Solving:

Handle any issues that arise during transit, including delays, damages, or claims, ensuring resolution and customer satisfaction within freight brokerage operations.

Compliance & Documentation:

Ensure all shipments comply with regulations and maintain accurate documentation of transactions, invoices, and customer interactions, supporting freight management and operational compliance.

Market Research:

Stay updated on industry trends, freight rates, and competitor activities to adjust strategies, optimize logistics operations, and maintain competitive pricing.

Sales Support:

Assist with generating new business through client outreach, referrals, and freight sales, contributing to long-term growth of freight brokerage services.

Tracking & Reporting:

Monitor the status of shipments and provide updates to clients as needed. Track key performance metrics and report on freight operations and supply chain management activities.

Skills & Qualifications:

Minimum 6 months USA freight brokerage experience

Knowledge of freight management, logistics operations, truck dispatch, carrier management, and supply chain coordination

Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills

Goal-oriented and able to manage multiple shipments efficiently
