Job Title: Senior Executive – Purchase (Bought-Out Parts)

Location: Bangalore, India

Department: Supply Chain

Reporting To: Manager – Supply Chain Management

Experience: 5-8 yrs

This position will be responsible for strategic sourcing, procurement, and vendor management for all bought-out items in the Special Purpose Machine (SPM) manufacturing process. The role involves identifying reliable suppliers, negotiating cost-effective contracts, ensuring timely availability of quality components, and supporting production schedules through seamless material flow.

Job Description

  1. Plan, source, and procure all bought-out parts, including mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, and automation components required for SPM assembly.

  2. Identify, evaluate, and develop suppliers based on quality, cost, lead time, and delivery capability.

  3. Negotiate commercial terms and procurement contracts to ensure cost competitiveness and quality adherence.
  4. Coordinate with design, planning, and production teams to understand material specifications, bill of materials (BOM), and project timelines.
  5. Monitor procurement activities in line with project schedules to ensure zero downtime in production.
  6. Implement effective cost control measures through alternate sourcing, value analysis, and long-term supplier agreements.
  7. Ensure proper documentation, compliance, and adherence to company procurement policies.
  8. Maintain inventory levels within approved limits while ensuring timely replenishment of critical components.
  9. Develop and maintain strong relationships with strategic suppliers to guarantee continuous supply and performance improvement.
  10. Review market trends, price fluctuations, and material availability to anticipate supply chain risks.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Electrical Engineering.
  • 5–8 years of experience in procurement/purchase, preferably in Special Purpose Machine or Capital Equipment manufacturing.
  • Hands-on experience in vendor sourcing, technical procurement, and ERP-based material management
  • Strong knowledge of engineering drawings, manufacturing processes, and component specifications.
