D Summary – SAP CRM Consultant (Application Support)
Experience Required

  • ~4 years of SAP CRM experience (application support focused).

Core Responsibilities

  1. Application Support

  2. Provide day-to-day SAP CRM user support.

  3. Resolve incidents, service requests, and issues promptly.

  4. Incident & Problem Management

  5. Manage incidents and communicate effectively with stakeholders.

  6. Perform root cause analysis of recurring issues.

  7. Implement preventive measures to avoid system disruptions.

  8. Enhancements & Configurations

  9. Handle system changes, request fulfillment, and maintenance.

  10. Perform SAP CRM base configurations (transaction/status profiles, org determination, business roles, WebUI customizing, action profiles).

  11. System Monitoring

  12. Monitor CRM system performance.

  13. Identify and address job errors, background job issues, or bottlenecks.

  14. User Support & Training

  15. Guide business users during incident handling.

  16. Conduct user training sessions when needed.

  17. Documentation

  18. Maintain detailed documentation of configs, support processes, and resolutions.

Required Skills

  1. Functional Skills

  2. SAP CRM Sales & Service modules expertise.

  3. CRM Middleware (BDOCs, IDOCs).
  4. One-Order Framework understanding.

  5. Job processing & error analysis.

  6. Technical Skills

  7. WebUI Customizing & MVC Architecture.

  8. Enhancements (BADI, BAPI, User Exits, Component Workbench).
  9. BOL (Business Object Layer) & GENIL Programming.
  10. ABAP (basic knowledge and debugging).

  11. RICEFW objects understanding.

  12. Support-Oriented Skills

  13. Incident & Problem Management (ITIL framework knowledge helpful).

  14. Shift support capability (rotational, including weekends).

Additional/Preferred Skills

  • SAP CRM Certification.
  • SAP C4C exposure.
  • ITIL certification.
