Job Purpose

To ensure the health and wellbeing of all site personnel, including workers, staff, and support staff, by providing onsite medical services, first aid, preventive health monitoring, and supporting safety and wellness initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide first-level medical care and emergency treatment to workers, staff, and visitors at the construction site.
  • Manage and operate the onsite medical clinic, ensuring its readiness at all times.
  • Conduct periodic health check-ups, monitor chronic conditions, and maintain medical records.
  • Liaise with hospitals, ambulances, and local health authorities in case of emergencies.
  • Promote health awareness through regular health talks, wellness sessions, and health camps.
  • Supervise proper sanitation and hygiene practices across the site, including restrooms, kitchens, and worker accommodation.
  • Coordinate with the EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) team to ensure compliance with medical and occupational safety norms.
  • Handle medical documentation, prepare reports, and maintain statutory compliance related to employee health as per Factory Act / BOCW Act (Building and Other Construction Workers Act).
  • Provide special attention to female workers' health and welfare if applicable

Qualifications

  • MBBS from a recognized medical institution (valid registration with MCI / State Medical Council).
  • 28 years of experience; prior exposure to occupational health or construction/industrial setups is preferred.
  • Certification in Occupational Health / Industrial Health (AFIH) is an added advantage.
