Business Manager / Business Head – Jewellery Industry

Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Business Manager / Business Head to lead and overseethe overall operations, sales, marketing, and profitability of our jewellery business. The idealcandidate will bring strong leadership, business acumen, and industry expertise to drive growth, buildbrand presence, and ensure operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Business Strategy & Growth

Develop and execute business strategies to achieve revenue, profitability, and market share targets.

Identify new business opportunities, markets, and partnerships.

Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and market demands.

Sales & Marketing

Lead and manage sales operations, retail performance, and wholesale/distribution channels.

Oversee marketing campaigns, brand positioning, and promotional strategies.

Build and maintain strong customer relationships to enhance loyalty and retention.

Operations & Inventory Management

Ensure smooth functioning of stores, production, and supply chain.

Oversee procurement, inventory, and stock control in alignment with business needs.

Implement cost-control measures to improve efficiency.

Team Leadership & Development

Lead, mentor, and motivate cross-functional teams including sales, marketing, operations, and design.

Set performance goals, monitor progress, and ensure accountability.

Build a culture of customer service, innovation, and excellence.

Financial Management

Prepare and manage budgets, forecasts, and P&L statements.

Monitor financial performance and implement corrective actions where necessary.

Work closely with finance teams to ensure compliance and profitability.

Compliance & Standards

Ensure adherence to industry regulations, hallmarking, ethical sourcing, and quality standards.

Maintain brand reputation and trust through transparent practices.

Key Requirements

Bachelor's/Master's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field.

Proven experience (8–15 years) in leadership roles within the jewellery, luxury retail, or lifestyleindustry.

Strong knowledge of gold, diamond, and gemstone jewellery markets.

Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.

Strategic thinker with hands-on problem-solving ability.

Financial acumen and experience in P&L management.

Strong customer orientation and relationship-building skills.

Preferred Skills

Expertise in retail operations and distribution networks.

Understanding of jewellery design trends and consumer preferences.

Digital marketing and e-commerce exposure in the jewellery/luxury segment.

Ability to scale up business in domestic and international markets.
