Role Overview:

The employee would be responsible for end-to-end payroll administration, statutory compliance, and management of employee compensation and benefits programs. The role ensures timely and accurate processing of salaries, adherence to labour laws, and delivery of a seamless employee experience. The role requires close coordination with Finance, Operations, and external vendors to maintain efficiency and compliance.

Payroll Management

  • Administer monthly payroll for all employees ensuring 100% accuracy and timeliness.
  • Maintain and update employee attendance, leave records, overtime, and shift allowances in line with logistics operations.
  • Handle full & final settlements (FNF) for resigned employees.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Manage employee benefits programs (PF, ESI, Gratuity, Insurance, etc.).
  • Provide guidance to employees regarding compensation related queries.

Statutory Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements such as PF, ESI, PT, TDS, Labour Welfare Fund, Shops & Establishment Act, and Minimum Wages Act applicable to logistics and warehousing operations.
  • Prepare and submit monthly/quarterly/annual statutory returns.
  • Stay updated on labour law amendments impacting compensation and benefits.

HR Recruitment & Onboarding

  • Facilitate smooth onboarding for new employees including induction and documentation.
  • Manage end-to-end recruitment for L1 manpower requirement.

Key Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong knowledge of payroll systems
  • In-depth understanding of Indian labour laws and statutory compliance.
  • Analytical skills to reconcile payroll
  • Strong communication skills to handle employee queries effectively.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Graduate in Commerce or related field
  • 25 years of experience in payroll, compensation & benefits (preferably in logistics, transport, or manufacturing sector)
