working at the intersection of reinforcement learning and scalable model systems.

You'll contribute directly to two core research tracks:
ThinkRL
, our reinforcement-learning library, and our internal large-model research initiative.

What You'll Work On

  • Building and experimenting with RL algorithms (PPO/GRPO-style methods, rollout engines, sampling pipelines).
  • Designing and evaluating training and inference optimization routines for large models.
  • Running large-scale experiments using W&B, Hugging Face datasets, and our internal compute environment.
  • Writing clean, modular PyTorch code integrated into our evolving research stack.
  • Translating papers into working prototypes and conducting targeted ablations.
  • Contributing to ThinkRL's codebase and helping shape its design.
  • Working closely with the founders to iterate on research ideas toward publication-quality results.


What We're Looking For

  • Strong Python + PyTorch fundamentals.
  • Understanding of reinforcement learning basics (policy gradients, rollouts, advantage estimation).
  • Good grasp of transformers, LLMs, and modern deep learning practices.
  • Experience with experiment tracking, datasets, and reproducible workflows.
  • Ability to read research papers and implement ideas independently.
  • Curiosity, discipline, and comfort navigating ambiguity in research.

Bonus Skills:

  • vLLM or high-performance inference tooling.
  • RLHF/RLAIF pipelines, distributed training, or HF model experience.
  • Open-source ML contributions.
