Job Description: Service Manager (Two Wheeler Division)

Position Title: Service Manager – Two Wheeler

Department: Service

Reports To: Branch Manager / General Manager – Service

Location: Salem

1. Job Purpose:

To lead the two-wheeler service operations by ensuring high-quality service delivery, customer satisfaction, efficient workshop management, and achievement of service revenue targets. The Service Manager oversees technicians, service advisors, wash teams, and ensures smooth functioning of all service processes.

2. Key Responsibilities:

A. Workshop & Operations Management

* Manage end-to-end service operations for two-wheeler vehicles.

* Ensure daily productivity, bay utilisation, and timely vehicle delivery.

* Monitor job allocations, workflow, TAT (Turnaround Time), and quality of repairs.

* Implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) defined by OEM.

* Maintain proper housekeeping, tools, and equipment in the workshop.

B. Customer Handling & Satisfaction:

* Ensure high customer satisfaction (CSI) scores and reduce complaints.

* Address escalated customer issues and provide timely resolutions.

* Monitor service reminders, follow-up, and post-service feedback calling.

* Conduct regular customer meets, service camps, and promotional activities.

C. Team Management:

* Supervise and guide Service Advisors, Technicians, Water Wash team, Pick-up & Drop staff.

* Conduct regular training and performance reviews.

* Ensure manpower availability, discipline, and adherence to company policies.

* Motivate the team to achieve individual and departmental targets.

D. Financial & Target Achievement:

* Achieve service revenue targets including labour, parts, AMC, accessories, and value-added services.

* Control warranty rejections, repeat jobs, and wastage.

* Monitor spare parts consumption, stock availability, and coordination with Parts Department.

* Analyse monthly MIS reports and take corrective actions.

E. Compliance & Documentation:

* Ensure compliance with OEM guidelines, safety standards, and statutory requirements.

* Maintain all service records, job cards, invoices, and warranty documentation.

* Prepare reports: Daily Service Report, Productivity, Efficiency, Attendance, etc.

3. Key Skills & Competencies:

* Strong technical knowledge of two-wheeler vehicles.

* Excellent customer handling and communication skills.

* Leadership and team management ability.

* Problem-solving and decision-making skills.

* Knowledge of DMS / workshop software.

* Target-oriented and quality-focused.

4. Qualification & Experience:

* Diploma / Degree in Automobile or Mechanical Engineering.

* Minimum 5–10 years of experience in two-wheeler service operations, with at least 2–3 years in a supervisory or managerial role.

* Experience with major OEMs like Hero, Honda, TVS, Bajaj, Yamaha, Royal Enfield, Suzuki, etc., preferred.

5. Salary Range:

* As per industry standards and company policy.

Pay: ₹30, ₹45,000.00 per month
