Job Summary:

The Restaurant Captain is responsible for supervising and coordinating the daily front-of-house operations to ensure excellent guest service. The role includes managing service staff, maintaining service standards, handling guest concerns, and ensuring a smooth and memorable dining experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet and seat guests in a professional and welcoming manner.
  • Supervise and coordinate activities of waitstaff to ensure smooth operations.
  • Take food and beverage orders and ensure timely service delivery.
  • Handle guest queries, complaints, and special requests professionally.
  • Ensure tables are properly set, clean, and well-maintained at all times.
  • Coordinate with kitchen and bar staff for seamless order execution.
  • Maintain product knowledge of menu items, ingredients, and specials.
  • Train and guide new service staff on SOPs and customer service standards.
  • Assist the Restaurant Manager with daily opening and closing duties.
  • Monitor inventory and assist in stock requisition (linens, cutlery, condiments, etc.).
  • Ensure compliance with hygiene, sanitation, and safety standards.
  • Upsell menu items and promote ongoing offers to maximize revenue.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2–4 years' experience in F&B service, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
  • Strong knowledge of restaurant service standards and guest handling.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Fluent in [local language] and basic English (or as required).
  • Leadership ability and team coordination skills.
  • Pleasant personality, good grooming, and attention to detail.
  • Flexibility to work in shifts, weekends, and holidays.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹20, ₹24,000.00 per month
