The role requires a visionary educator with a deep understanding of Indias traditional knowledge, values, and education philosophy, combined with modern educational leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Academic Leadership

  • Design and implement curriculum aligned with NEP 2020 integrating IKS across subjects.
  • Ensure inclusion of themes such as Indian philosophy, science, art, culture, and sustainability.
  • Promote interdisciplinary teaching methods blending modern science and traditional wisdom.
  • Supervise lesson planning, evaluation methods, and student engagement strategies.

2. Teacher Development

  • Mentor and train teachers on IKS-based pedagogy and classroom integration.
  • Organize workshops, seminars, and resource-sharing sessions on IKS concepts.
  • Encourage research and documentation of local traditional knowledge.

3. Cultural and Value Education

  • Reinforce ethical, cultural, and environmental values through co-curricular programs.
  • Celebrate Indian festivals, heritage days, and regional arts as part of experiential learning.

4. Administration and Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with CBSE/NCERT/AICTE guidelines related to IKS curriculum.
  • Manage staff performance, budgeting, timetables, and school operations efficiently.
  • Collaborate with parents, community, and education boards for holistic school growth.

5. Innovation & Outreach

  • Partner with IKS centers, universities, and cultural organizations.
  • Initiate school projects on sustainability, Ayurveda, traditional arts, and technology.
  • Represent the institution at educational forums, conferences, and media interactions.

Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in Education / Indian Philosophy / Sanskrit / Social Sciences / IKS or related field.
  • Minimum 10–15 years of experience in school leadership or academic administration.
  • Strong knowledge of NEP 2020, CBSE frameworks, and IKS integration.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.

Preferred Skills:

  • Understanding of Vedic texts, Indian philosophy, or traditional sciences.
  • Ability to balance modern pedagogy with cultural and value-based education.
