We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Commis I to join our team in the hospitality industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cooking and kitchen management, with excellent communication skills.

Roles and Responsibility

  • Assist the Chef de Partie in planning and preparing menus for special events and functions.
  • Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and safety in the kitchen.
  • Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient service delivery.
  • Develop new recipes and menu ideas to enhance the culinary experience.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
  • Participate in inventory management and stock control of kitchen supplies.

Job Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Commis I or similar role in a professional kitchen environment.
  • Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and menu planning.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work under pressure.
  • Ability to maintain high standards of food quality and presentation.
  • Familiarity with kitchen equipment and utensils, including cleaning and maintenance procedures.
  • Adaptability to changing situations and priorities in a fast-paced kitchen setting.
