About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced and strategic SEO Team Lead to join our team in Gurugram. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on expertise in SEO along with proven experience leading teams in a fast-paced agency environment. You will be responsible for developing and executing SEO strategies, mentoring team members, and driving measurable results across multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the SEO team to deliver high-quality work across in-house projects.
• Develop and implement on-page, off-page, and technical SEO strategies.
• Conduct keyword research, competitor analysis, and performance audits to uncover growth opportunities.
• Monitor website performance using tools such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs, or equivalent.
• Collaborate with content, design, and development teams to align SEO strategies with overall marketing goals.
• Stay updated on industry trends, algorithm updates, and best practices, ensuring strategies remain effective.
• Present SEO insights, reports, and performance updates to internal stakeholders and clients.
• Build processes and frameworks for scalable SEO operations.

Requirements

• Experience: 3–5 years of hands-on SEO experience, with at least 1 year in a leadership role.
• Agency Background: Must have worked in a digital/SEO agency managing multiple client projects.
• Strong knowledge of SEO fundamentals, site architecture, link-building, content optimization, and technical SEO.
• Proficiency in SEO tools: Google Analytics, Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, etc.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to mentor, coach, and grow a high-performing team.

Good to Have

• Experience in local SEO, eCommerce SEO, or international SEO campaigns.
• Familiarity with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and CMS platforms (Magento, WordPress, etc.).
• Knowledge of paid search (PPC) or other digital marketing channels.
