Job Description
Job Summary:
We are seeking a hands-on Technical Delivery Manager with extensive experience in IT solution delivery, SaaS implementations, data-focused project management, and proof-of-concept (POC) development. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in cloud and data technologies (Azure or AWS), a passion for building and showcasing POCs, and proficiency in managing complex implementation projects. This role emphasizes technical execution and delivery, with minimal client management responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:
Technical Implementation & Delivery:

• Lead end-to-end technical delivery for SaaS solution implementation, primarily focusing on data-driven enterprise projects for retail clients.
• Drive the design, development, and successful showcase of POCs, with hands-on involvement in solution architecture, build, and data loading across varied databases.
• Oversee technical execution of projects, including planning, execution, monitoring, and performance assessment, to ensure successful and timely delivery.
• Troubleshoot complex data integration, migration, and transformation activities.

Data & Cloud Platform Leadership:

• Ensure technical excellence in solution implementation with a focus on big data, data engineering, and analytics using platforms such as Azure (preferred) and AWS.
• Leverage expertise in Azure DevOps, Snowflake, Databricks, Spark, SQL Server, and Azure SQL for solution delivery and engineering.
• Stay up-to-date on industry trends and leverage best practices for cloud-native solution implementation and continuous improvement.

Cross-Functional Team Leadership:

• Manage and mentor cross-functional project teams, fostering a cooperative environment and continuous improvement culture.
• Optimize team onboarding processes through development and implementation of tailored training programs.

Strategic Resource Management:

• Execute resource allocation strategies across multiple retail SaaS projects to enhance team utilization and maintain project quality.
• Manage balanced workloads and efficient resource deployment within dynamic retail landscapes.

Stakeholder Engagement:

• Collaborate with diverse retail stakeholders to define project scope, gather requirements, and manage expectations.
• Apply in-depth understanding of retail processes to anticipate challenges and develop effective solutions tailored to industry needs.

Knowledge Base Enhancement:

• Cross-Team Knowledge Transfers: Facilitate cross-team knowledge transfers to enhance collaboration and ensure successful data migration and onboarding to target retail systems.
• Proactive Software Version Upgrades: Implement proactive strategies for software version upgrades, scheduling regular knowledge transfer (KT) sessions to keep teams informed and prepared for changes.
• Enhancing Documentation: Create thorough knowledge bases and documentation to support the team in managing day-to-day bug tracking and overseeing the production deployment process.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 10+ years' experience in technical delivery/project management roles with a focus on data platforms & cloud implementations in SaaS delivery.
• Proven ability to manage teams and optimize resource utilization.
• Strong understanding of retail business processes and expertise in stakeholder collaboration.
• Demonstrated recent hands-on experience in developing, implementing, and showcasing technical POCs.
• Strong technical proficiency with Azure cloud, and tools such as Azure DevOps, Snowflake, Databricks, Spark, SQL Server, and Azure SQL.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
