Location: Nagpur, Maharashtra (on-site)

Type: Internship (6 months)

Start Date: Immediate

Stipend: Upto Rs 8,000 + PPO (based on performance)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a responsible and detail-oriented Payroll Manager Intern to assist in end-to-end payroll processing using the Keka HRMS platform. The role includes maintaining employee salary records, generating payroll reports, managing statutory compliances (PF & ESIC), and coordinating between the HR and Finance teams. The intern will also work closely with the company's Chartered Accountant for monthly payroll verification and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and update employee payroll data in Keka HRMS every month.
  • Prepare and verify monthly salary sheets based on attendance and approved salary structures.
  • Create and issue salary structures for new employees in coordination with HR.
  • Coordinate with HR for new joiners to create and link PF & ESIC accounts.
  • Generate and maintain monthly payroll reports and share them with management.
  • Compile and forward final payroll data to the company's Chartered Accountant after verification.
  • Assist in managing Form 16 and other tax-related employee documentation.
  • Ensure accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance across all payroll processes.
  • Maintain smooth coordination with HR and Finance teams for payroll operations.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Pursuing or recently completed B.Com, BBA, MBA in HR/Finance, or a related field.
  • Basic understanding of payroll procedures, salaries, PF, ESIC, and taxation.
  • Familiarity with MS Excel or payroll systems (Keka HRMS knowledge is a plus).
  • Strong attention to detail, time management, and numerical accuracy.
  • Good communication and coordination skills.
