Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Jira Administrator to join the S3 team, with proven expertise in configuring, managing, and optimizing Jira Software environments. A critical requirement for this role is hands-on experience with the ActivityTimeline plugin, ensuring effective resource and project planning across teams. The candidate must be flexible to align with US working hours (2:00 PM to 11:30 PM IST) for seamless collaboration with global stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer, configure, and maintain Jira Software environments, including custom fields, workflows, screens, permissions, and schemes.
  • Implement and manage the ActivityTimeline plugin for resource planning, time tracking, and workload management.
  • Provide technical support, troubleshooting, and best practices for Jira usage across global teams.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and filters to support project visibility and decision-making.
  • Ensure Jira aligns with company processes, compliance, and integration requirements with other tools (e.g., Confluence, Slack, GitHub).
  • Collaborate with engineering, project management, and HR/Operations to enhance workflows and improve system adoption.
  • Regularly upgrade, monitor, and optimize system performance and security.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 47 years of hands-on Jira administration experience.
  • Proven expertise in ActivityTimeline plugin configuration and customization.
  • Strong knowledge of Jira workflows, schemes, and permission models.
  • Familiarity with Jira integrations (Confluence, Bitbucket, GitHub, etc.).
  • Ability to translate business requirements into Jira configurations and workflows.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams across geographies.
  • Mandatory availability during 2:00 PM to 11:30 PM IST.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Atlassian Certified Jira Administrator (ACP-100 or equivalent).
  • Experience in scripting with Jira APIs (Groovy, REST, Automation).
  • Exposure to agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban) and reporting practices.
