PREFERABLY EXPERIENCED FROM ION EXCHANGE & THERMAX
The Business Development Manager will be responsible for identifying, developing, and
managing new business opportunities in the industrial chemicals and wastewater treatment
sectors. The role involves driving sales growth, building strategic customer relationships, and
promoting the company's products and solutions to achieve revenue and profitability targets.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Business Development & Sales
Identify and pursue new business opportunities in industrial chemicals and wastewater
treatment markets (municipal, industrial, and commercial sectors).
Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve growth and market share
objectives.
Prepare and deliver technical and commercial proposals, quotations, and presentations
to clients.
Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with customers in coordination with
management.
Maintain a healthy sales pipeline and provide accurate sales forecasts.
2. Market Research & Strategy
Conduct market analysis to identify emerging trends, competitor activities, and
customer needs.
Recommend new products, service improvements, or partnerships based on market
intelligence.
Participate in industry events, exhibitions, and seminars to enhance brand visibility
and network with potential clients.
3. Relationship Management
Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key accounts, consultants,
EPC contractors, and government agencies.
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the sales and project
lifecycle.
Ensure customer satisfaction through effective communication and after-sales
support.
4. Technical Collaboration
Work closely with technical, R&D, and operations teams to tailor solutions that meet
customer requirements.
Provide feedback from the market to support product development and innovation.
Stay updated with technical advancements in water and wastewater treatment
technologies.
5. Reporting & Administration
Prepare regular sales reports, market analysis, and competitor updates for
management.
Ensure compliance with company policies, pricing structures, and ethical business
practices.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Chemistry,
or related field.
MBA in Marketing or Business Management (preferred).
Experience:
5–10 years of experience in sales, business development, or key account management
within the chemical, water treatment, or environmental engineering industries.
Proven track record of achieving sales targets and developing new business in
industrial or municipal sectors.
Skills & Competencies:
Strong knowledge of water treatment chemicals, equipment, and processes (e.g.,
coagulation, flocculation, RO, ETP/STP systems).
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Ability to develop and maintain strong client relationships.
Analytical, proactive, and results-oriented mindset.
Proficiency in MS Office and CRM tools.
Willingness to travel frequently for client visits and business meetings.

Sales revenue growth and profitability.
New client acquisitions and retention rate.
Market share in target sectors.
