The Role
We are seeking a Senior Frontend Engineer with a passion for user experience to lead the design and development of our management portal. As the UI/UX Lead, you will be the primary owner of our product's entire frontend, responsible for translating powerful but complex networking concepts into an intuitive, elegant, and responsive user interface. You will set the vision for our user experience, leading the frontend architecture and making the critical design and technology decisions that will define how our customers interact with our platform. This is a unique opportunity to build a sophisticated, intent-based user interface from the ground up, creating workflows that anticipate user needs rather than forcing them through rigid steps.
Responsibilities
Frontend Architecture and Leadership: Define the overall frontend architecture, select core technologies, and establish coding standards and best practices for the UI.
UI/UX Vision and Implementation: Collaborate closely with product managers and backend engineers to design and implement a world-class user experience. Lead the creation of intuitive, intent-based workflows that simplify complex network management tasks.
Component Library Design: Architect, build, and maintain a comprehensive, reusable component library and design system to ensure visual and interactive consistency across the entire application.
Hands-On Development: Lead by example, writing clean, maintainable, and high-performance code using modern frameworks like React, Vue, or Angular.
State Management: Implement and manage sophisticated client-side state using libraries such as Redux or Zustand to handle complex, real-time data flows from our control plane.
Mentorship and Code Quality: Mentor other engineers, conduct code reviews, and foster a culture of quality, innovation, and continuous improvement within the frontend team.
Required Qualifications
5+ years of experience in frontend engineering, with a proven track record of building and shipping complex, user-facing web applications.
Expert-level proficiency in modern JavaScript/TypeScript and at least one major frontend framework (React, Vue, or Angular).
Deep experience with state management libraries (e.g., Redux, Vuex, Zustand, etc.).
Demonstrated experience designing, building, and maintaining reusable UI component libraries or design systems.
A strong portfolio showcasing a deep understanding of UI/UX principles, responsive design, and a passion for creating intuitive and user-centered interfaces.
Experience consuming complex RESTful or gRPC APIs.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience leading frontend projects and/or mentoring other developers.
A strong interest or experience in designing "intent-based" UIs, where the interface dynamically adapts to user goals.
Familiarity with UI testing frameworks like Cypress, Jest, or React Testing Library.
Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
A conceptual understanding of networking or cloud infrastructure principles.
