Primary Title: Legal Operations Manager

Industry & Sector: A fast-scaling SaaS and enterprise communications / IT-services organisation operating in regulated markets, delivering cloud-native business services and platform solutions to global customers. We're hiring a hands-on legal operations leader to run and optimise the legal function's operational backbone—on-site in India.

Location: India | Workplace: On-site | Role: Team Lead (Legal Operation)

Role & Responsibilities

  • Lead and scale the Legal Operations function: design, implement and own end-to-end processes for contract lifecycle management (CLM), matter intake, and legal vendor relationships.
  • Manage CLM tooling and automation: configure and optimise contract templates, e-signature flows, and workflows to reduce cycle times and enforce version control.
  • Drive compliance & risk controls: coordinate regulatory reviews, maintain policy registers, and implement controls to ensure adherence across business units.
  • Provide commercial & stakeholder support: partner with Sales, Procurement and Product teams to accelerate deal cycles and resolve contractual bottlenecks.
  • Operational reporting & governance: define KPIs, produce management dashboards, and manage budgets, SLAs and service-level reporting for the legal team.
  • Coach and develop the on-site legal operations team, set standards for process documentation, and lead continuous improvement initiatives.

Skills & Qualifications
Must-Have

  • 5+ years in legal operations, corporate legal department or law firm operations with 2+ years managing teams or projects.
  • Hands-on experience with CLM/matter-management tools, e-signature platforms, and workflow automation.
  • Strong knowledge of contract drafting/negotiation, vendor management and compliance frameworks relevant to technology or SaaS businesses.
  • Proven track record in process optimisation, KPI-driven reporting and delivering measurable cycle-time improvements.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred

  • Experience in telecom, SaaS, or enterprise IT services and familiarity with data-privacy/regulatory regimes.
  • Exposure to Lean/Agile process improvements, contract analytics or RPA implementations.
