About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Associate - Patent Illustrator to join our IP vertical. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating precise, high-quality patent illustrations for patent applications in compliance with global patent office standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • End-to-end management of patent illustration processes, ensuring accuracy and adherence to USPTO guidelines (EP and India patent office guidelines preferred).
  • Interpret invention disclosures, technical drawings, and STEP files to develop detailed patent figures and illustrations.
  • Collaborate closely with the patent drafting team to deliver timely, high-quality illustration outputs.
  • Manage and track deliverables to ensure timely turnaround (TAT) for client submissions.
  • Lead, supervise, and mentor junior illustrators when required.
  • Plan, prioritize, and execute multiple projects independently while maintaining high quality standards.
  • Coordinate effectively with onsite and global virtual teams to ensure project alignment.
  • Monitor illustration progress, resource planning, and take corrective actions to meet deadlines.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Graduate in any discipline; Mechanical Engineering or similar technical background preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in patent illustration or technical illustration.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Visio, MS PowerPoint, and CorelDraw (preferred).
  • Strong understanding of USPTO patent office illustration standards is mandatory; experience with EP and Indian patent offices is a plus.
  • Excellent command of English both written and verbal.
  • Strong communication skills with ability to work independently and within a team.
  • Ability to prepare complex mechanical and technical drawings with precision.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent analytical and judgment skills.
  • Experience working with global, cross-functional teams.
