Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Tool Room Assistant Manager based in Gurugram. The Tool Room Assistant Manager will oversee activities within the tool room, such as managing tool design, ensuring proper maintenance of tools, and supporting production and manufacturing processes with precision tools. Day-to-day responsibilities include coordinating with the production team, supervising tool repairs, monitoring tool life, and implementing quality control measures. The role involves optimizing tool usage, minimizing downtime, and ensuring adherence to safety procedures and production schedules.

Qualifications

  • Tool design and maintenance expertise, including hands-on experience in creating and modifying tools for production needs.
  • Skilled in manufacturing techniques such as stamping, fabrication, and sheet-metal processing, with knowledge of machining and assembly operations.
  • Experience in quality control processes, ensuring tools meet exacting standards, and familiarity with precision measurement techniques.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills to supervise the tool room team, resolve issues, and ensure efficient workflows.
  • Proficiency in CAD software for tool and die design, with the ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Ability to coordinate with production and engineering teams to ensure alignment with schedules and manufacturing goals.
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Tool Design, or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience in the automotive or EV manufacturing industry is a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
