Job Summary:
We are looking for a skilled and passionate Multi-Cuisine Chef with expertise in Chinese, Continental, and Café-style dishes to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate should be creative, efficient, and committed to delivering high-quality food consistently. This role requires hands-on experience in preparing a variety of dishes including noodles, pastas, burgers, sandwiches, mojitos, loaded fries, and quick snacks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes from Chinese and Continental cuisines (e.g., noodles, fried rice, pasta, grilled meats, sauces, etc.).
- Create and assemble popular café-style dishes such as burgers, sandwiches, wraps, loaded fries, mojitos, milkshakes, and light snacks.
- Maintain high standards of food quality, taste, and presentation.
- Assist in menu planning and development of new dishes or seasonal specials.
- Ensure kitchen hygiene, food safety, and sanitation standards are always maintained.
- Manage inventory, portion control, and minimize wastage.
- Coordinate with kitchen staff for timely and efficient food preparation.
- Stay updated with culinary trends and bring innovative ideas to the table.
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations within the kitchen area.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Chef or Cook in a restaurant, café, or hotel setting.
- Expertise in Chinese and Continental cooking techniques and recipes.
- Ability to prepare fast-moving café-style menu items efficiently.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and kitchen hygiene practices.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Creativity and passion for food.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Culinary diploma or certification (preferred but not mandatory).
Preferred Qualities:
- Fast-paced kitchen experience.
- Good time management under pressure.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new dishes or styles.
