Job role:
As a Sous chef you are expected to take part in the menu creation, management and training of the kitchen team.
You will play a crucial role in supporting the Head Chef and ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen. Your responsibilities will include:
Cuisine Knowledge: Be knowledgeable in Western cuisine to efficiently and productively fulfill the position's duties and responsibilities.
Food Preparation and Presentation: Assist the Head Chef in daily kitchen operations, maintaining high standards of food preparation and presentation.
Recipe Adherence: Work seamlessly with recipes, standards, and plating guides.
Quality Control: Plan, prepare, and implement high-quality food and beverage products, ensuring efficient, economical, and hygienic preparation according to standard recipes and procedures.
Hygiene and Safety: Maintain cleanliness and hygiene according to established procedures and FSMS standards, ensuring all HACCP aspects are adhered to within the kitchen operation.
Equipment Maintenance: Use and maintain kitchen equipment and machines appropriately.
Versatility: Complete tasks and jobs outside the kitchen area as needed, assist in inventory taking, and prepare menus when requested.
Adaptability: Learn and adapt to changes, maintaining a professional and positive attitude towards team members and supervisors at all times.
Team Coordination: Coordinate, organize, and participate in all kitchen production activities, promoting teamwork to achieve departmental standards and goals.
Quality Monitoring: Monitor food quality and quantity to ensure the most economical usage of ingredients, checking and adjusting the quality of food prepared by team members as necessary.
Additional Responsibilities:
Professional Conduct: Understand, practice, and promote teamwork to achieve the kitchen's mission and goals.
Flexibility: Carry out any other reasonable duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.
The Management reserves the right to make changes to this job description at its sole discretion and without advance notice.
Pay: ₹27,000.00 - ₹37,000.00 per month
