Common Functions

• To assist the Network Planning Group (NPG) on the matters related to PM Gati Shakti and National Logistics Pollcy (NLP).
• To provide expertise for integration of interconnected multimodal network transport and infrastructure for efflcient movement of people, Goods and services.
• Assist in improving decision making through effective logistics data analytics, standardasation through streamlining of processes
• Assessment of project proposals included in the PM Gati Shakti National Master Plan in consultation with other domaan speciflc SMEs, Offlcers of TSU, Logistics Davision and Line Ministries/Depa(ments.
• Examination/ evaluation of projects on PM Gati Shakti principles like logistics efficiency, utility to economic clusters, integrated approach to planning, perspective of multimodality and area development approach.
• Having knowledge/aware of Government policies, regulations and best practices, principles to the extent relevant to the Subject matter/PM Gati Shakti/National Logistics Policy with a focus on sustainable and inclusive development principles.
• Preparation of reports, presentations, and other communication materials to convey landings, recommendations and implementation strategies and play role in capacity building.
• Knowledge for use of project management tools and techniques, as well as digital technologies such as GlS, Transportation modelling softvvare etc. during evaluation of project proposals.
• Economic Nodes are important for critical evaluation of infrastructure projects. Accordingly basic understanding of economic nodes i.e. SEZ, CFS, lCDs, industrial nodes, Export Oriented Districts etc. is desirable.
• To collaborate with government agencies, prlvate sector partners, and international organizations to develop innovative solutions for critical gaps in integrated planning.
• Any other work related to PM Gatishakti, Network Planning Group, National Logistics Policy in particular and Logistics Sector in general

Road & Highway Expert /Civil & Structural Expert

The Road and Highway/Civil and Structural Expert for the PM Gatishakti program will be responsible for providing specialization, knowledge and expertise in the planning, design, development, and this role involves strategic analysis, project management, and stakeholder coordination to enhance the efficiency, connectivity, and sustainability of road networks in line with the objectives of PM GatiShakti.

lnteraction with BISAG-N for mapping of projects/new projects.

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic planning and Analysis: Develop comprehensive road and highway development

plans that aljgn with the objectives of PM Gatishakti. Conduct detailed analysis of current road networks and forecast future needs based on traffic patterns, economic growth, and technological advancements. Perform feasibility studies and risk assessments for proposed road highway projects.

Technical Expertise and lnnovation: Provide technical guidance on road and highway design, construction, and maintenance practices. ldentify and promote the adoption of innovation road technologies and practices to improve road infrastructure and operations. Ensure the integration on multi-modal transport solutions, enhancing overall connectivity and efficiency.

2. Policy and Regulatory Compliance: Ensure road and haghway projects comply with national and regional policies, regulations, and safety standards. Stay updated on changes in transportation laws, regulations, and best practices. Advise on policy development to support road infrastructure improvement and innovation.

3. StakeholderEngagement: Engage with government agencies, private sector stakeholder, and local communities to gather input and address concerns related to road and highway projects. Facilitate meetings, consultations, and workshops to promote stakeholder participation and transparency. Coordination with stakeholders and all concerned authorities for primary and secondary data for integrated planning of Road & Highways projects especially in reference of multi modal connectivity.

4. Data Management and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of road and highway data, plans, and projects. Utilize Geographic lnformation Systems (GlS) and other planning tools for spatial analysis and project visualization. Prepare detailed analytical reports and dashboards for monitoring and evaluation purpose. Staying informed about emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in road and highway planning, design, and construction, and applying this knowledge to improve project outcomes and drive innovation
