Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role located in New Delhi.

We're hiring at two levels:

1. Apply for
   Senior Road Engineer
   if you have 1+ years of experience. This will involve leading projects, validating AI outputs, design engineering frameworks, and engage with clients and stakeholders.

2. Apply for
   Junior Road Engineer
   if you have 0-1 years of experience and want to grow into that role. This will involve working on field surveys, data-driven analysis, and supporting model validation and reporting.

Key responsibilities

1. Senior Road Engineer

• Lead and deliver end-to-end road survey projects: plan surveys, define scope, supervise field teams, and ensure engineering/quality standards.
• Provide technical ownership over pavement & asset assessments (PCI, IRI, pavement distress, lifecycle assessments, safety audits).
• Validate AI model outputs against engineering judgment and field data; define acceptance criteria and QC processes.
• Create/refine engineering taxonomies, defect definitions, and data quality rules used to train and evaluate AI models.
• Mentor and review work of junior engineers; set QA processes for field & data outputs.
• Liaise with clients, government agencies, and stakeholders. Present findings, make recommendations, and support procurement/decision-making.
• Advise on integration with existing systems (PMS, EAMS/Maximo) and help design predictive maintenance strategies using combined AI + engineering inputs.
• Produce and review technical reports, proposals, and executive presentations; act as subject-matter expert (SME) for road defects and safety.

2. Junior Road Engineer

• Support field surveys and data collection: execute surveys, ensure device integrity, and follow data collection SOPs.
• Review and validate model outputs and flagged defects; perform engineering checks to confirm severity and priority.
• Prepare concise technical notes, inspection reports, and input for dashboards and client deliverables.
• Help develop defect taxonomies, asset inventories, and data quality logs.
• Work closely with AI/ML and product teams to increase model reliability and field applicability.
• Support client communications and on-site demonstrations; respond to basic technical queries.

Qualifications & skills

1. Senior Road Engineer

• Master's in Civil Engineering (Highways/Transportation/Pavement) preferred; Bachelor's in Civil/Road & Transportation Engineering required.
• 1+ years relevant experience (road design, pavement management, safety audits, asset management).
• Strong domain knowledge: pavement distress (potholes, cracking, rutting, fatigue), asset inventory, PCI/IRI frameworks, and road safety standards.
• Experience validating/working with survey instruments (FWD, NSV, roughness measurement) and familiarity with PMS/EAMS concepts.
• Excellent client-facing skills, report writing, and stakeholder management.
• Comfortable translating field engineering needs into AI/data requirements.

2. Junior Road Engineer

• Bachelor's in Civil / Road & Transportation Engineering (Highways/Transportation focus preferred).
• 0–1 year experience in road/highways sector (freshers with projects/internships considered).
• Good understanding of road defects, asset inventory, and basic survey methods.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work with datasets, dashboards, and field checklists.
• Good written and verbal communication in English; ability to produce clear technical notes.
