**Job Summary**:
**Key Responsibilities**:
1. Prepare bills of quantities, estimates, and tender documents for road and highway projects.

2. Conduct quantity takeoffs and measurements from drawings and specifications for steel and concrete works.

3. Analyze project costs, identifying potential risks and opportunities for cost savings.

4. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and architects to ensure effective cost management.

5. Monitor project progress and costs, preparing reports and forecasts.

6. Manage variations, claims, and final accounts.

7. Conduct site visits to verify progress and identify potential issues.

**Requirements**:
1. Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field.

2. Minimum 3-5 years of experience in quantity surveying, preferably in road and highway projects.

3. Experience with steel and concrete construction methods.

4. Professional certification (e.g., MRICS, AVS) is desirable.

5. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

6. Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

7. Proficiency in quantity surveying software (e.g., CostX, PlanSwift).

**Essential Skills**:
1. Strong understanding of road and highway construction methods and materials.

2. Experience with contract administration and dispute resolution.

3. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
