About the Role:

We are seeking a proactive, technically sound, and result-oriented Project Manager Civil Engineering with 3 to 5 years of experience in managing small to mid-scale construction and infrastructure projects. This is a critical role that involves end-to-end project executionfrom planning, budgeting, and resource management to vendor coordination, quality control, and timely delivery.

The ideal candidate should be well-versed in civil engineering fundamentals, have experience working across multiple project phases, and possess excellent communication and leadership abilities to manage teams, contractors, and clients alike.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Planning & Execution

  • Prepare detailed project schedules, activity-wise timelines, and milestones using MS Project/Primavera/Excel.
  • Define scope of work, project deliverables, resource requirements, and cost estimates.
  • Plan and execute site activities in coordination with internal teams, consultants, and subcontractors.
  • Ensure compliance with structural drawings, specifications, and industry standards throughout execution.

Site Coordination & Supervision

  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and supervise site engineers and subcontractors.
  • Manage day-to-day activities including resource allocation, material delivery schedules, and labor deployment.
  • Ensure adherence to quality control measures and safety protocols at all times.
  • Identify potential delays or bottlenecks and take corrective measures to stay on track.

Vendor & Client Management

  • Coordinate with external stakeholders such as architects, structural consultants, MEP teams, and vendors.
  • Negotiate and manage contracts with suppliers and subcontractors ensuring timely delivery and quality.
  • Communicate progress, challenges, and project status to clients and senior management on a regular basis.
  • Ensure that client expectations are aligned with project execution plans.

Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain up-to-date project documentation including daily progress reports, measurement books, contractor bills, and client communications.
  • Track project costs and prepare reports on budget utilization, variations, and forecasts.
  • Maintain BOQs, quality checklists, work permits, and site logs in an organized format.

Key Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong understanding of civil construction processes including RCC work, finishing, foundation, formwork, etc.
  • Experience with residential, commercial, or industrial projects (any one or multiple types).
  • Ability to lead a multi-disciplinary site team and handle multiple vendors simultaneously.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage pressure during tight deadlines.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Project, MS Excel, and construction-specific ERP systems.
  • Clear verbal and written communication in English and Hindi/local language.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (B.E. / B.Tech required; M.Tech preferred).
  • 3–5 years of hands-on experience in civil project management or site execution.
  • Certification in Project Management (PMP, PRINCE2) is an added advantage.
  • Familiarity with IS codes, municipal approvals, environmental safety standards, and QA/QC practices.
