Job Title: Project Manager Civil

Base Location: Gurugram / Mumbai (Project-based travel)

Department: Projects / Operations

Reports to: Head Projects / COO

Role Purpose

The Project Manager – Civil will be responsible for complete lifecycle management of civil and turnkey projects—from planning, budgeting, and procurement to execution, quality control, handover, and commissioning—ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and as per approved specifications.

Key Responsibilities

1. Project Planning & Mobilization

• Review contract documents, drawings, BOQs, specifications, and scope of work
• Prepare detailed project execution plan, timelines, and milestones
• Develop project budgets and cost estimates based on BOQ and scope
• Plan site mobilization, manpower, machinery, and materials
• Coordinate with internal teams for project kick-off and approvals

2. BOQ, Costing & Billing

• Study and validate BOQ quantities and identify discrepancies
• Monitor BOQ vs actual consumption and control cost overruns
• Prepare and verify RA bills and final bills for clients and contractors
• Certify subcontractor bills and ensure timely processing
• Track variations, extra items, and change orders

3. Contractor & Vendor Management

• Identify, evaluate, and onboard contractors and subcontractors
• Finalize work orders, rate negotiations, and scope definitions
• Monitor contractor performance, productivity, and quality
• Coordinate with suppliers and vendors for timely material delivery
• Resolve site-level conflicts and execution issues

4. Site Execution & Supervision

• Ensure execution as per approved drawings, specifications, and timelines
• Supervise day-to-day site activities and coordinate multiple work fronts
• Monitor progress against the project schedule and take corrective actions
• Ensure proper deployment of manpower, tools, and machinery
• Conduct regular site meetings and progress reviews

5. Quality Control & EHS

• Implement quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) processes
• Ensure materials and workmanship meet project specifications
• Coordinate inspections, testing, and approvals
• Enforce EHS standards, safety procedures, and statutory compliance
• Conduct toolbox talks, safety audits, and incident reporting

6. Client, Consultant & Internal Coordination

• Act as the single point of contact for clients, consultants, and PMCs
• Attend review meetings and provide progress updates
• Coordinate approvals for drawings, samples, and method statements
• Address client concerns and ensure satisfaction

7. Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain complete project documentation including:

• Drawings & revisions

• Method statements
• Site instructions

• Measurement books

• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports

• Track risks, delays, and mitigation plans

8. Testing, Handover & Commissioning

• Coordinate snag rectification and punch-list closure
• Ensure completion of testing, inspections, and certifications
• Prepare as-built drawings and handover documents
• Support smooth commissioning and final project handover
• Assist in project close-out and post-completion support

Key Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of civil construction and turnkey project execution
• Expertise in BOQ, costing, billing, and contractor management
• Excellent planning, coordination, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects/sites simultaneously
• Good communication and stakeholder management skills

Qualification & Experience

• B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering
• 3–5+ years of experience in executing civil / infrastructure / turnkey projects
• Experience in handling multiple contractors and large BOQs preferred

Tools & Systems (Preferred)

• MS Project / Primavera (basic knowledge)
• AutoCAD (for drawing review)
• MS Excel for BOQ, billing, and tracking
