Role Objective

This is a mission-critical leadership position representing the organization at a Pan-India level. The Head of Operations will be responsible for strategizing, leading, and scaling large-scale service delivery operations for property-vetting services across 450+ locations in India. The role requires a proven leader who has built and scaled businesses from 0 to 1, managed distributed manpower, and driven operational excellence. This position reports directly to senior leadership and plays a key role in driving growth, profitability, and nationwide expansion.

Educational Requirements

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field.

Experience Requirements

  • years of experience in building and managing large-scale operations in startups or high-growth organizations.
  • Proven expertise in manpower planning, P&L ownership, sales growth & expansion, and new market development.
  • Experience in stakeholder management, growth strategy, demand vs. supply planning, and SLA-driven service delivery.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to leverage data analysis and reporting for decision-making.
  • Prior experience in managing larger distributed manpower (freelancers or on-roll) across multiple geographies is highly desirable.
  • Sector background is flexible, provided the candidate has demonstrated scaling capability at a Pan-India level.

Job Context

  • Manage nationwide operations for legal vetting, document drafting, and related legal service functions.
  • Oversee paralegal support activities and ensure timely execution of client requests.
  • Schedule and deploy freelance lawyers for property-vetting assignments across 450+ locations.
  • Ensure quality, compliance, and SLA adherence in property verification and related services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee a network of 600+ freelance vetting lawyers across 450+ locations in India.
  • Plan, schedule, and monitor branch visits and service assignments nationwide.
  • Ensure seamless execution of legal vetting, document drafting, registrations, search reports, and MODT activities.
  • Drive sales growth, new market expansion, and business scalability through operational strategy.
  • Recruit, onboard, and manage freelance lawyers and paralegal teams to maintain full operational coverage.
  • Develop frameworks for resource allocation, workload distribution, and operational efficiency.
  • Build strong stakeholder relationships with regional teams, client branches, and advocates.
  • Monitor productivity, turnaround times, and SLA compliance to ensure client satisfaction.
  • Drive process improvements for speed, accuracy, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Own and manage the P&L for the operations vertical.
  • Provide periodic performance reports and data-driven insights to senior leadership.
