A leading organization in the HVACR industry, with three operational manufacturing facilities two in Kancheepuram, Chennai, and a new one in Sri City catering to diverse industrial and commercial clients. Role Overview:

The Head of Operations will be responsible for the full spectrum of operational activities, encompassing manufacturing, supply chain, customer delivery, profitability, and team leadership. The role demands a strong execution focus, operational excellence, and the ability to deliver consistent results across all plants.

Key Responsibilities:

P&L and Operational Ownership:

  • Manage the operational P&L, ensuring alignment with organizational financial goals.
  • Monitor and improve gross margins, cost of production, and overheads.
  • Collaborate with the leadership team on budgeting, forecasting, and operational planning.
  • Ensure plant-level performance meets revenue and profitability targets.

Operations & Manufacturing Excellence:

  • Oversee daily operations of all three plants in Kancheepuram (Chennai) and Sri City.
  • Ensure high-quality, timely, and cost-effective production and delivery.
  • Implement and track KPIs for production, quality, safety, and TAT.
  • Drive process standardization, lean manufacturing, and continuous improvement.

Customer Satisfaction & Delivery:

  • Ensure all customer orders are fulfilled on time and as per specifications.
  • Build strong working relationships with key clients to support business retention.
  • Work closely with sales and service teams to align operations with market requirements.

Team Leadership:

  • Lead and mentor plant heads and department leaders across functions.
  • Build a high-performance culture with clear accountability.
  • Encourage cross-functional collaboration to enhance efficiency and innovation.

Compliance & Risk Management:

  • Ensure adherence to all regulatory, statutory, and safety requirements.
  • Identify and mitigate operational and supply chain risks.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering; MBA preferred.
  • Minimum 18 years of experience, with at least 5 years in multi-plant operational leadership.
  • Proven track record in HVACR or similar capital goods manufacturing industries.
  • Strong ability to understand and make effective decisions on both financial and operational matters.
  • Ability to thrive in both structured and entrepreneurial environments.
