Job Tittle : Footwear development Head

Location : Chennai

Job Purpose:

To lead and manage the complete footwear design and development process from concept to

production, ensuring alignment with brand standards and market needs. The role will focus on

delivering innovative, high-performance sports footwear by leveraging deep material knowledge

and industry expertise.

Key Responsibilities & Accountability:


• Oversee the end-to-end footwear design and development process, from concept creation

to final production.


• Collaborate with product, marketing, and manufacturing teams to ensure timely and high-

quality launches.


• Select and approve materials, ensuring performance, comfort, and cost efficiency.


• Liaise with international suppliers and Chinese manufacturing partners to meet quality

and delivery timelines.


• Monitor market trends and competitor products to guide innovation.


• Establish design guidelines and ensure adherence to brand identity.


• Manage prototyping, testing, and quality control processes.

Job Specification:


• Experience: Minimum 10 years in sports footwear design and development, with prior

experience working with or for brands like Nike, Adidas, or other major sports brands.

Must have worked with or managed production through Chinese factories.


• Education: Degree in Footwear Design & Development.


• Background: Strong expertise in sports shoe design, development processes, and materials,

with a proven record of delivering market-ready products.
