Network Engineer – Level 2

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and maintain network infrastructure to ensure optimal performance.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues escalated from L1 engineers.
  • Configure and manage routers, switches (L2/L3), firewalls, and access points.
  • Implement routing protocols (e.g., BGP, OSPF) and VPN solutions.
  • Perform regular network security assessments and apply necessary patches.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional IT teams for infrastructure projects.
  • Document network configurations, changes, and incident resolutions.
  • Lead disaster recovery planning and testing for network systems.
  • Support network expansion and upgrades with minimal downtime.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in network engineering.
  • Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, ICMP, and packet analysis tools.
  • Hands-on experience with Cisco IOS, firewall policies, and load balancers.
  • Proficiency in network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, PRTG).
  • Certifications: CCNA (mandatory), CCNP or equivalent (preferred).

  • Strong communication and documentation abilities.
  • Ability to mentor junior engineers and collaborate across teams.
  • Experience with cloud networking (AWS, Azure) is a plus.

  • Successful implementation of network projects.
