Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Purchase Manager with proven expertise in Spices and Agri Commodities procurement. The role involves managing supplier relationships, sourcing raw materials, ensuring timely procurement, and driving cost optimization while maintaining quality standards. The candidate must have strong negotiation skills, knowledge of the spices/agri market, and the ability to manage end-to-end purchase operations.

Key Responsibilities

Sourcing & Supplier Management

Identify, evaluate, and select reliable suppliers for spices and agri commodities.

Build and maintain strong supplier relationships while exploring new sourcing opportunities.

Monitor supplier performance for quality, cost, and timely delivery.

Purchase Planning & Procurement

Collaborate with production and other departments to understand procurement needs.

Develop and execute procurement strategies to meet business and production requirements.

Ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of raw materials.

Negotiation & Cost Optimization

Negotiate prices, payment terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers.

Secure favorable agreements without compromising quality.

Implement cost-saving initiatives and analyze cost trends.

Order Processing & Coordination

Prepare and process purchase orders with accuracy in quantity, specifications, and pricing.

Track orders, manage delivery timelines, and resolve discrepancies or delays.

Coordinate with suppliers and internal teams to ensure smooth operations.

Compliance & Documentation

Maintain accurate records of all procurement activities, contracts, and transactions.

Prepare and present procurement reports to management.

Required Skills & Competencies

Minimum 5 years of experience in Purchase of Spices/Agri Commodities (mandatory).

Excellent analytical, planning, and cost management skills.

Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
