Job Description – Purchase Executive/Engineer

Location: Rabale

Experience: 2 to 5 Years (Manufacturing Industry)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Procurement of materials related to instrumentation, analytical instruments, and mechanical components.

  • Evaluate vendors, negotiate pricing, delivery timelines, and ensure quality compliance.

  • Coordinate with technical teams to understand requirements and convert them into effective purchase decisions.

  • Maintain and develop a strong network with welders, fabrication vendors, and local market suppliers.

  • Monitor inventory levels and raise purchase orders as needed.

  • Conduct periodic vendor audits and performance evaluations.

  • Ensure timely delivery and resolve vendor-related issues.

  • Maintain accurate purchase records and documentation in ERP.

  • Ensure compliance with company's procurement policies and ISO standards.

Required Skills & Competencies:

  • In-depth knowledge of technical specifications, engineering drawings, and BOM.

  • Hands-on experience in purchasing mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation materials.

  • Strong negotiation, analytical, and vendor management skills. - Familiarity with GST, basic commercial terms, and purchase agreements.

  • Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and Tally And SAP.

  • Strong follow-up and communication skills – written and verbal.

  • Ability to handle pressure, multitask, and meet tight deadlines.

  • Understanding of cost control and budgeting principles.
