About the Role:This is a key sales role within our client's Institutional Equities division, focusing on driving revenue growth by acquiring new Hedge Fund clients and actively servicing existing ones across the US, Asia and Indian region. The successful candidate will be responsible for understanding the sophisticated trading needs of Hedge Fund managers and positioning our client's execution and research capabilities to capture a significant share of their trading activity. This role requires a proactive individual with a strong sales acumen, deep market knowledge, and the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers at Hedge Funds.

Responsibilities:Client Acquisition: Identify and target prospective Hedge Fund clients across US, Asia and India, developing and executing strategic plans to onboard new accounts. This includes identifying key decision-makers, understanding their investment mandates, and tailoring sales pitches to their specific needs. Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with Hedge Fund clients, acting as their primary point of contact within the firm.

This involves regular communication, providing market updates, and anticipating their trading needs. Revenue Generation: Drive revenue growth by maximizing trading volumes from assigned Hedge Fund accounts. This includes actively promoting our client's trading platform, execution services, and research products.

Sales Strategy: Develop and implement sales strategies to effectively penetrate the Hedge Fund market, including identifying key market trends, competitor analysis, and developing targeted sales pitches. Product Knowledge: Maintain a deep understanding of our client's full suite of equity products and services, including cash equities, derivatives, program trading, and research offerings. Market Insights: Provide clients with timely and relevant market insights, research reports, and trading ideas to help them make informed investment decisions.

Client Servicing: Proactively address client inquiries, resolve any issues, and ensure a high level of client satisfaction. This includes coordinating with internal teams, such as trading, operations, and research, to provide seamless service. Compliance: Adhere to all regulatory requirements and internal compliance policies related to institutional equity sales.

Dormant Account Activation: Identify and re-engage with dormant Hedge Fund accounts to revitalize relationships and generate trading activity. Experience:Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in Institutional Equity Sales, with a strong focus on servicing Hedge Fund clients in US, Asia and India. Proven track record of consistently achieving and exceeding sales targets.

Established network of relationships with Hedge Fund managers and traders in the region. Deep understanding of Hedge Fund investment strategies, trading styles, and performance metrics. Experience in selling a full suite of equity products and services, including cash equities, derivatives, and research.

Strong understanding of the regulatory landscape for equity trading in India and other Asian markets. Prior experience in a similar role at a reputable financial institution. Education:A Bachelor's degree in Engineering.

A Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA) or Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification. Skills and Knowledge:Equity Markets Expertise: In-depth knowledge of equity markets in India and other Asian countries, including market structure, trading practices, and regulatory frameworks. Hedge Fund Acumen: Comprehensive understanding of Hedge Fund strategies (e.g., long/short equity, event-driven, macro), investment processes, risk management, and performance attribution.

Communication and Presentation Skills: Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate complex financial concepts clearly and concisely. Relationship Building: Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with clients from diverse cultural backgrounds. Product Knowledge: Deep understanding of a wide range of equity products and services, including cash equities, derivatives, program trading, research, and corporate access.

Client Focus: Strong client-centric approach, with a genuine desire to understand and meet client needs. Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze market data, identify trading opportunities, and provide insightful recommendations to clients. Financial Acumen: Solid understanding of financial statements, valuation methodologies, and investment analysis.

Regulatory Knowledge: Knowledge of relevant regulations and compliance requirements governing institutional equity sales in India and other Asian markets. Language Skills: Fluency in English is essential. Additional Asian language skills would be a plus.
