Job Opening: Café Chef — Koregaon Park, Pune
Are you passionate about crafting delicious, Instagram-worthy dishes? Do you love experimenting with café-style menus and creating memorable dining experiences? We're looking for a creative and dedicated Chef to join our team at a new, cozy café in the heart of Koregaon Park.
Position: Café Chef
Location: Koregaon Park, Pune
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: Competitive (based on experience)
About the Role
As our Café Chef, you'll be responsible for planning and executing a diverse menu of all-day breakfast, small plates, health-forward options, and seasonal specials. You'll work closely with management to develop new dishes, maintain kitchen operations, and ensure an excellent customer experience.
Responsibilities
- Design and update a dynamic café-style menu (breakfast, brunch, sandwiches, salads, coffee accompaniments, etc.)
- Prepare dishes with attention to quality, presentation, and portion size
- Maintain kitchen hygiene and food safety standards
- Manage inventory, costing, and ordering of kitchen supplies
- Train and supervise kitchen staff (if applicable)
- Ensure smooth daily kitchen operations
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Chef or Cook in a café, bistro, or casual dining setup
- Strong knowledge of contemporary café food trends and plating
- Passion for quality ingredients, creative presentation, and consistency
- Basic understanding of kitchen budgeting and food costing
- Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
Nice to Have
- Experience with vegetarian, vegan, or health-conscious menus
- Knowledge of baking or dessert preparation
- Culinary certification (preferred but not mandatory)
