In depth knowledge of PaaS (Platform as a Service) or IaaS (Infrastructure as a Service) solutions Discrete micro services with simple repeatable cloud native architectural patterns Utilizing a variety of open source software and tools Continuous delivery and Infrastructure automation tools such as Git and DevOps Programming languages such as Terraform, Python, Agile Scripting languages such as Bash Experience in technology landscape for OCI suitability, Including OCI Identity access management (IAM), Compartments, Network, Auditing, Logging monitoring, and Security design for complex architectures to support high availability and disaster recovery requirements. Security best practices for cloud Serverless architecture such as Oracle Functions Container technology such as Dockers and Kubernetes Service Cloud Monitoring such as OCI monitoring and notification Service If you have the talent and desire to build innovative business critical software services at a rapid pace, seamlessly serving many of the largest companies in the world come join our team Responsibilities include: Developing and refining solutions and services for Cloud Landing zones, focusing Oracle landing zones, but also working with other cloud providers and their landing zone services, tools, and solutions, i.e. Amazon and Azure. Provide architectural directions for the engineering teams. Work closely with the applications teams, technology, and security teams to ensure that our architectural vision is aligned with the requirements as well as Thomson Reuters standards and policies. Work closely with the engineering and operations teams and participate in service incident process and management to always look for feedback and areas to improve in our service offerings. Collaborate with technologists across the company to build cloud native applications Scripting for infrastructure continuous build and delivery automation Ensure consistency with cloud architectural guiding principles for assigned projects Keep up to date with emerging cloud technology trends open source and cloud vendors such as Oracle, Amazon, Azure, and Google. Develop and mentor the technical skills of less senior members of the technology teams. Articulate complex problems, concepts and solutions through formal and informal means to global technical and non-technical audiences Be a thought leader and influencer in cloud native development best practices, which includes continuous delivery, security, infrastructure as a code, automation, immutable infrastructure and service discovery. Work in a highly collaborative and dynamic matrix agile team environment with multiple levels of technology staff across various geographical locations Apply principles of trust, transparency, accountability and ownership Anticipate needs and implications of decisions, proactively working to identify, clarify, and resolve issues, and removing barriers within and outside the organization in a timely manner Support employee development by working one-on-one with staff to define and maintain goals, provide performance feedback and coaching on a regular basis and review development plans
